"You know, our gods reflect our cultural views more than some kind of faith," I said.
"Just like others," answered Omah. "After all, we are not in the Middle Ages. Your gods are more motivational. They cover various aspects of human activity that are worth paying attention to. This is prosperity, culture and knowledge, wisdom, strength, love and the environment. I like it."
"Who were you in Ishim?" I asked.
"Chief Counselor," Omah answered. "Not for long, however, only two months. Bad luck."

Hi Oleks,

Omah sounds like such an understanding, intelligent person! No matter what faith, culture or nationality we belong to, we all desire knowledge, wisdom, strength, love and we (should) all want to protect our environment.

Why was Omah only the Chief Counselor for two months? Perhaps you should ask him haha

Here are a couple of comments on your English.

  • This is prosperity, culture and knowledge, wisdom, strength, love and the environment - These are (as you are talking about more than one aspect) prosperity, culture and knowledge, wisdom, strength, love and the environment.
  • "Chief Counselor," Omah answered. - "The Chief Counselor," Omah answered.
  • only two months - only for two months

Hi Ed! OK, I will ask :). Thank you for your comment! Actually, I thought that "this is" referred to nearest noun, like: "This is honesty, poverty and pride." or "This is a table and three chairs".

Hi Oleks,

You are right. "This is" does refer to the nearest noun. However, as you are talking about more than one aspect the gods cover, you would use "these", which is the plural equivalent of "this" https://data.grammarbook.com/blog/adjectives-adverbs/thisthat-thesethose-thanthen/

If (for example) the gods only promoted one aspect of human activity such as prosperity, you would say

"Your gods are more motivational. They cover an aspect of human activity that is worth paying attention to. This is prosperity."

Does that make more sense?

Hi Ed! I understood! Thank you for the explanation! They talked about aspects, so I need to use "these".

Such an interesting story Oleks - Are you going to turn it into a book?

"You know, our gods reflect our cultural views more than some kind of they do our faith," I said.

"Just like others," answered Omah. "After all, we are not in the Middle Ages. Your gods are more motivational. They cover various aspects of human activity that are worth paying attention to. This is prosperity, culture and knowledge, wisdom, strength, love and the environment. I like it." [I don't think you really need ''This is" here - I would just put a dash to show that the list that follows refers to your previous statement.]

"Who were you in Ishim?" I asked.

"Chief Counselor," Omah answered. "Not for long, however, only two months. It was Bbad luck." [As Omah is talking about himself, it's best not to say just 'Bad luck'.  We usually say that when we are sympathising with someone else - for example 'I've lost my job'  'Oh bad luck!'.]

Hi Ros! Thank you for your support! I don't know about turning it into a book. Do you think my story deserves it? About "this is" - I agree, I don't need it, your option looks better.
