"So they sent you to dig trenches," Ilak said.
"I think the ruler didn't like the fact that our settlement became the vassal state of the Scarlet Kingdom. He probably had thought that it was due to bad counselings," Omah answered.
"What did you advise then - to give in or fight?" Ilak asked.
"If I advised giving in, I would have stayed in the settlement," Omah said. "I was the only one on the Council against that. However, I organized the departure of everyone who wanted to leave the settlement."

Hi Oleks,

I feel so sorry for Omah. He has had such a tough time. I really hope he does not have any more struggles or difficult, challenging times ahead of him.

This was a fantastic extract and hardly requires any corrections. It is amazing to see the amount of progress you have made. yes.

I just have a coupleof minor points to make..

  •  "What did you advise then - to give in or fight?" Ilak asked. - "What did you advise then - to give in or to fight?" Ilak asked.
  • "If I advised giving in, I would have stayed in the settlement," Omah said - "If I had advised giving in, I would have stayed in the settlement," Omah said (This is an example of the type 3 conditional which refers to an impossible condition in the past and its probable result in the past. )
