"So, you had been Chief Counselor for only two months," I said.
"Yes, I had been appointed to the place of the former Chief Counselor, who died of old age," answered Omah.
"An extremely unusual form of death in our time," Ilak muttered.
"Ilak is the biggest optimist among us," Ghom grinned. "Forgive me my ignorance, but in what gods do they believe in Ishim?"
"In Ishim we believed that the old gods returned to Earth after their cosmic wanderings."

Hi Oleks,

Another very interesting dialogue! I am intrigued what you mean by 'cosmic wanderings'. Perhaps you could talk more about this in a future extract. (I know very little about different beliefs and religions but would like to learn more)

With regards to your English, again, there is very little for me to correct.

  • ignorance: listen to me pronounce this word. [ ig-ner-uh ns ]
  • appointed to the place of the former Chief Counselor, - appointed to the position ('place' is not wrong. But as this is a job/role, I would tend to use the word position)  of the former Chief Counselor.
  • Forgive me my ignorance - Forgive me for my ignorance (In English, you forgive someone for doing something)

Hi Ed! Thank you for your corrections and audio! I would never had thought that I was wrong with the pronunciation of the word.

Nice job on this one
