The development of memory 7

You can purposefully improve your attention. First of all, what is interesting is best remembered. Besides, it is important to concentrate while memorizing, namely, to make a small conscious mental effort for this.
One of the best practices for developing attention is focusing on one dot. By doing such an exercise, a person enters into a trance state similar to a meditative one.

Good text information Oleks.

For this sentence> One of the best practices for developing attention is focusing on one dot. My suggestion is to add another sentence describing this exercise on focusing. This includes the purpose of the exercise, how long and/or how often they should complete in order to see the effects.

Hi Faye! Thank you! I do not know if there are any rules regarding the duration or frequency of such an exercise. Probably the more the better. In any case, I agree, this topic needs to be developed. I will think about it.

Hi Olek, I just left you feedback on your most recent audio post.

I feel this one sounds a bit clearer than the other one, so well done!

Hi Oleks,

Yet more very insightful observations!! I do agree with Faye suggestion though. You do need to explain to the reader (in more depth) about how they should focus on the dot. It sounds like an excellent exercise to do. Is it part of the practice of mindfulness?

I need to start doing exercises like this, as I get distracted so easily. (Smartphones don't help as my phone's screen is constantly flashing with alerts)

Just a few suggestions (very minor ones)

1. what is interesting is best remembered. - You are far more likely to remember what you find interesting (you are speaking directly to the reader. )

2. to make a small conscious mental effort for this. - to make a small conscious mental effort to do this

Hi Ed! Thank you! I will think about more explanation. Yes, practice of mindfulness is most appropriate for this excercise. You gave an interesting link, I'll see it in more detail. What application did you use on your smartphone for concentration?

I have not even started searching for an application to help me concentrate on my Smartphone haha!

Are you able to recommend any? What some people (I know) do is to only turn on their Smartphones at set times throughout the day (then turn them off afterwards). This is by far the most effective approach in my opinion, but you have to be very disciplined (which I am not) haha!
