The riddle

I came up with a riddle and I hope you'll find it a little funny. What insect's name can freely translate from Russian as "Holy cow"? The answer will be tomorrow.
As for the riddle topic, I remembered one game we played in childhood. It's called "Yes or No". You think something, and your partner must guess it. He can ask any questions and you only answer him "yes" or "no". For example,
'Is it alive?'
'Yes.'
'Is it an animal?'
'No.' and so on. I do not remember, what we thought out, except for one case only, when my friend conceived "the pink color of the curtains", and I couldn't guess it.
What about you? Did you play any similar game in your childhood?

Well done again, Oleks! I used to play many games when I was a child. Cell phones and computers were not so widespread then. We used to go out and play outside. We played a lot of games and we enjoyed them a lot, and it was all real, not virtual.

Regarding your text, here are some points to keep in mind. Please let me know if you have any questions.

The Riddle

I came up (Also, “I have come up …” for actions with an unspecified time or a recent action.) with a riddle and I hope you'll find it a little funny. What insect's name can freely translate from Russian as "Holy cow"? The answer will be tomorrow.

What about you? Did you play any similar games in your childhood (days)?

Hi Oleks,

When I was younger (as a child) we used to play a similar game called animal charades where one player has to pretend to be an animal (such as a cat or a dog) and then the other players have to correctly guess the name of the animal. I really enjoyed it and it brings back good memories.

With regards to your English, your pronunciation is getting a lot better and clearer. Keep up the good work. I would like to add the following points.

1. As for the riddle topic I would rephrase this to "As for the topic of the riddle"

2.we played in childhood As our childhood is an extended period of time, it would make more sense to use a word like "during" or "throughout" we played throughout our childhood.

3. You think something In English, you think of something.

4. you only answer him "yes" or "no". - you can only answer him "yes" or "no".

Hi Oleks - we played a game called "Twenty Questions"  where you could say whether the topic was animal, vegetable or mineral.  The person guessing could then ask just 20 questions which you would answer "yes" or "no" to.  It sounds quite similar to your game.

Very good post!  Only a couple of things to change:  I would say "The answer will be tomorrow".  When phrased like this it sounds as if "tomorrow" is the answer.  Better to say "I will give you the answer tomorrow".  Also, you remember in the present something that happened in the past, so it's correct to say "I remember...."

Your audio is very good :)
