"Why didn't you kill him?" he asked. "You could do it several times already!"
“This is how people quarrel over trifles,” I thought.
"It just occurred to me that since you started it, it would be right if you finish it," I told the first thing that came to my mind.
Ghom did not seem convinced at all, but in any case, at that moment, it was not up to his feelings.

Good job again, Oleks. Keep it up!

"Why didn't you kill him?" he asked. "You could do have done (‘could do’ suggests possibility for the present) it several times already!"

“This is how people quarrel over trifles,” I thought.

"It just occurred to me that since you started it, it would be right if you finish it," I told said the first thing that came to my mind.

Ghom did not seem convinced at all, but in any case, at that moment, it was not up to his feelings (You mean his feelings didn’t matter?).

"Why didn't you kill him?" he asked. "You could do  have done it several times already!"

“This is how people quarrel over trifles,” I thought to myself.

"It just occurred to me that since you started it, it would be right if you finished it,"  [or you could say 'it would be only fitting for you to finish it] I told  said the first thing that came into my mind. [We usually say 'the first thing that came into my head]

Ghom did not seem convinced at all, but in any case, at that moment, it was not up to his feelings. [Not sure what you mean here?]

Hi Ros!Thank you. I meant that at that moment there were more urgent matters then Ghom's feelings. "Came to my head" is a good idiom, I need to memorize it.
