Hi Tatyana,

Good job in writing your text. Some of revision recommendations are below. Keep up the good work!

The first printing press was invented (spelling) by William Caxton in 1476. < start new sentence

After the printing press was invented, books no longer had to be copied by hand and became more easily obtainable. Thus, (insert comma, https://www.grammarly.com/blog/comma/the experience of literature was transformed from a group of listeners gathered around a bard,  to a solo reader with his printed page. In 1485, (insert comma) Caxton published Sir Thomas Malory's Morte d' Arthu (title could be in italics, https://www.grammarly.com/blog/underline-or-italicize-book-titles/). This is the fullest record of the knights (spelling) of the around table which gave the English public  a taste for medieval  chivarlic  romances. When William  started printing books for money(spelling),  he himself translated into English french romances ,thereby stimulating and satisfying an appetite for stories.

Great job Tatyana!

I have learnt something new today thanks to you! I had no idea that the printing press was developed that long ago. I thought it was developed much more recently!

I absolutely love reading. Who are some of your favourite authors? I really enjoy horror stories. I have to admit that I do not enjoy reading medieval, chivalric romances haha! Do you?

Faye has done a good job of evaluating your English. I would just like to add the following points

1. the experience of literature was transformed from a group of listeners gathered around a bard,  to solo readers [you are talking about more than one reader] reading (literature) on printed pages.

2. This is the most comprehensive / most detailed record of the Knights of the Round Table.

3.  he himself translated them from English into French. (We translate from one language into another in English)

I have also studied Pride and Prejudice :) I found that it is still very relevant to today's modern society. For example, Elizabeth Bennett (like many people today in England) wanted to marry the man she loved and did not consider economic security/wealth to be important in a partner.

Unlike you, I was not so keen on Shakespeare's sonnets. I preferred reading his plays. My favourite one is definitely Othello. Have you read it? If not, I would highly recommend it. smiley

If you come to London, you should watch "Les Misérables" at the Queen's Theatre. I used to work in the offices above it and heard them practicing regularly. Let me know if ever you decide to visit England. I would love to show you around :)

Hi again ,

yes pride and prejudice is still so relevant till today .There are some people just like Elizabeth in the world ,well that's good .I think that wealth isn't everything in life it enables you sometimes to do alot of things but can't give you everything ,this let make me remeber something I've heard a few years ago about a very rich man and a poor man ,the poor man was having nothing except the falafel sandwich and he was very happy  then the a rich man looked at him and said to the poor man do you know something I have alot of many ,cars ,and buildings ,I've traveled to alot of countries but there is just one thing   which I really want to do is to eat this falafel sandwich ,the poor man was shocked and told him to eat with him the other said no I can't because I suffer from a health problem that I will never be able to eat this to the reast of my life .Just like this story sometimes money isn't everything  ,it's nice to have money but don't make it everything that you have in your life .Do you agree?

About plays  inshallah I will read it .

inshallah if I decided to visit England I will tell you . I'd love to see around .

How it's going with the Arabic language ,if there is any Q let me know yes

Hi Tatyana,

I completely agree with you!

That is an amazing story. It shows that money cannot buy everything. I have come across plenty of very rich people and (weirdly) hardly any of them seem happy. Just look at the British Royal Family. Even  though they have vast amounts of money and have an ideal lifestyle, (instead of getting the bus to work each morning like me, they fly across the world on their private planes haha) they are not happy and we always hear about the arguments they have with each other.

My Arabic language learning is going well. Tomorrow I aim to post another audio on here. I am currently learning about the colours in Arabic.

How are your studies going?

Hope you are enjoying your holiday and finding time to relax :)

The weather in England is fairly cold too. Strangely, we have not had any snow so far this year, which is a shame as I like it when it snows.
