Talking about special trips 2

To be honest, as far as I am concerned, the simple fact of wondering round in the mountain forest, smelling the fresh, cold air, hearing the birds and tasting the flavor of life recharged my batteries and made me felt truly alive. And that worth the trip.

We remember that, according to the town pub’s owner, there were a hidden gem about two hours walking from the point we left our car, so we decided trying to find the place. Nevertheless we had been struggling for more than three hours and found nothing. As you could imagine, at that point we felt the quest were totally illogical without a local guide.

Even though we had decided to give up our quest, we still walked for almost a half of and hour and then, out of the blue we saw that magical landscape: a tiny lake all covered by mist, surrounded by tall trees and many kinds of flowers. That sight was absolutely amazing! We was simply overwhelmed and I remember saying to myself: "This is it, I’m going to spend the rest of my life here”.

I surely can call that place a breathtaking one.

Lovely text!  Just be careful of the form of the verb "to be"!  Ros

To be honest, as far as I am concerned, the simple fact of wondering wandering round in the mountain forest, smelling the fresh, cold air, hearing the birds and tasting the flavor of life recharged my batteries [Good!] and made me felt truly alive. And that was worth the trip.

We remember that, according to the town pub’s owner, there were was hidden gem about two hours walking from the point we left our car, so we decided trying to try [after "decided" you need to use the infinitive of the verb] to find the place. Nevertheless we had been struggling for more than three hours and found nothing. As you could can imagine, at that point we felt the quest were was [be careful of the form of the verb - "quest" is 3rd person singular - like "it"] totally illogical without a local guide.

Even though we had decided to give up our quest, we still walked for almost a half of and hour and then, out of the blue we saw that magical landscape: a tiny lake all covered by mist, surrounded by tall trees and many kinds of flowers. That sight was absolutely amazing! We was were simply overwhelmed and I remember saying to myself: "This is it, I’m going to spend the rest of my life here”.

I surely can call that place a breathtaking [good!] one.

Nice job. Remember that you use the word "were" when refering to more than one person, place or thing. Example: My friend and I were both scared as we entered the haunted house. Whereas the word "was" is used when refering to only one person, place or thing. Example: I was in my office until late that evening yesterday
