Hello Joselyn,

Welcome to Lingora! It is a great place for you to practice your English, as native English speakers like me really enjoy helping learners to improve their speaking and writing skills.

If you want to be in with a chance of winning our competition, please tell us more about the best way for you to become confident / good at the languages you learn.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Yessina,

Welcome to Lingora!

What do you think is the best way for you to improve your pronunciation an acquire more vocabulary in English? For example, when I learn Spanish I think the best way for me to improve my pronunciation is for me to listen to short audio and video clips of native Spanish speakers and then try to imitate them.

When it comes to learning as many new words and phrases as possible, I find that reading challenging news articles on websites like https://www.elmundo.es/ each day and then making a document containing these words and phrases (which I review regularly) works well for me. What about you?

I need to speak with native speakers because I like that I can learn a lot of vocabulary and expressions.

I thought when I write to any of the contacts in Lingora, I would speak with you online at the same time. But I appreciate the feedback Ligora gives me when I write because that helps me to improve my writings. Thank you so much.

Hello everybody,
For me speaking is the best option while learning, upgrading or improving my English.
And I will explain why)
1. When you talk to natives, you learn how to pronounce the words, phonics ,correctly. That's obviously.
2. Secondly, It might look a little bit surprising but ... When you communicate with natives you learn grammar as well. And it is not the same way you used to do it in the class. You learn grammar patterns not extracted from the text but the grammar is flawing naturally throughout the conversation. So you just remember how that or this grammar pattern is applied.
3. Not to mention, you can significantly enrich your vocabulary. For example, for me it is ok to ask a speaker what a meaning of the word is. But what is more important you can track usage of collocations, phrasal verbs and idioms in the context. There are a lot of phrasal verbs in English) just be aware of correct use.
4. Speaking =listening. You don't need to listen to tons of educational recordings. Just go to the web , find some native speakers, talk to them on different topics and in a week or two you will watch BBC or other English speaking media without even noticing they speak foreign language.
